Over the last few weeks, Year 6 have developed their Forest Schools skills through;

• Safely using tools for sawing and whittling wood
• Making chairs from previously sawn wood and lashing together with string
• Awareness of the forest with sensory scavenger hunts
• Making our own paint
• Campfire cooking skills – toast, jacket potatoes
• Using hammer and nails to create a loom and weaving spiders webs with wool, which will be used to decorate the school at Christmas
• Pumpkin carving and safely lighting them with cotton wool and fire steels
